                                                                      Talia Amar
                                                                      Talia Amar was born in 1989 in Jerusalem, Israel. She started composition lessons at the age of 14 with the great Israeli composer Prof. Mark Kopytman, and she now studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music with Dr. Ari Ben-Shabtai. Her works have already been performed in various concerts in Israel. She also studied piano with Mrs. Yoffe and is now a student of Prof. Emanuel Krassovsky at the Buchmann-Mehta school of music in Tel Aviv University. Talia has won many prizes in piano competitions: two prizes in the Shostakovich international competition in Germany, 1st prize at the international piano competition of Vicenze and 1st prize in a national competition in Paris. During the summer of 2009, she participated in the Tel-Hai International Piano Master-classes and she received a prize of distinction. She also received a scholarship from America-Israel Cultural Foundation. Talia appeared as a soloist with different orchestras in France (Orchestre Lamoureux), USA (Camerata Orchestra of Israel) and Israel (Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Rishon Letsion Orchestra and Raanana Orchestra). She participated in master classes with renowned artists such as N. Petrov, Prof. J. Rose, M. Levinas and M. Perahia.
