Composer's Biography
Theodore Mavromoustakis
Theodore Mavromoustakis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in November 1969. He started playing the piano and the guitar at an early age as self-taught. He also composed music at an early age. He studied harmony, counterpoint, fugue and composition with composer and violist of Thessaloniki’s State Orchestra George Mavromoustakis. He graduated from high school in 1987 with excellence and from the Agricultural School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1993. He likes painting and he participated in a photography exhibition with the group of photography of Aristotle University, in the ‘1st Pan-Hellenic Poetry Contest in memory of Angelos Sikelianos’, in amateur basketball team ‘Makednos’ and in the 1st International Triathlon Race of Macedonia ‘Kouros’. He received gold and silver medals in the university’s soccer league with the soccer team of the Agricultural School.
